Ishi’s Graduation

March 23rd 2009 – My daughter’s graduation from CASA (Kindergarden) at Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School (where I graduated elementary & high school also).
It’s also the anniversary of the day I married Paz in church.
27 and I already have a kid graduate.
Just one of the reasons to have one early.

When they requested a song for their onsite, I knew it wouldn’t do justice to what will happen on their wedding. So we opted for this song instead.
And by their reaction during the showing of the video at the reception, it didn’t dissappoint.

Our first time, and one of only few who have covered a wedding at the new church in Xavier Estates.
The wedding was an intimate affair, as the guests were mostly family, close relatives and people from St. Mary’s School (which Katie’s family own).
Sean’s family was also present. And we saw they enjoyed every bit of the wedding day.
Lee Llamas covered their wedding photography and it was such a pleasure working with him. Kudos to him and his team.

Amabelle Choi + Li Shuai HD

If they’re giving away to their guests large-sized travelling bags and 300+ laptop sleeves, you know this is not your average wedding.
And it definitely wasn’t! From their prenup video the nun translating the vows (the groom is pure Chinese from Beijing); to this being our first HD wedding, this was one of our most memorable couple.
Their love story started when Amabelle went to China to teach the English language to kids, she met Li Shuai from common friends. Then, they started teaching each others’ language, Li Shuai teached Amabelle the more complicated Chinese words, while she teached him to read and speak English.
From there they fell in love with each other thru those sessions and now speak and understand, the most common language of all, the language of LOVE. :)

From the prenup shoot up to their wedding day, Genevieve or Chin, as her family and friends call her, was very reserved. On the other hand, Jacinto, who doesn’t have a nickname (according to Chin), was visibly amused being filmed like an “artista”. “Mahirap pala maging artista!” Jacinto jokes.
The wedding was smooth all throughout, thanks to the Professional Organizers, especially to Shan, a new member and a highschool classmate of my wife.

This ultra-”kwela” and game couple made the prenup shoot less work and more fun.
They made it a little difficult though, in getting long steady shots, as everytime, Kristine would do something funny to Aris and we’ll just try to avoid laughing (and shaking the cam). 
Shot using our new Sony FX1000, some D90 shots and our trusty FX1.
Wedding is on March 7th 2009.
