Kathleen and Rolan SDE: Butuan City
Jul 25th
People oftentimes ask me how I choose the songs for our SDEs. Most of the time, I know the answer. But this one is an exception.
The day of the wedding, I still don’t know what song we’re going to use. Good thing one trick I know that really works for me. Select ‘shuffle’ on my iTunes, start listening and let luck decide.
Here’s the SDE we did for Kathleen and Rolan for their wedding in Butuan City.
Special shoutout to our fellow CDO suppliers Badz Castro (coordination), Flower Matters (event styling), Gil Macaibay III (gown & makeup) and Ansaldo Photography.

The first time I heard this song, I knew I had to use it on a video, wedding-related or not.
Good thing the couple were game about the concept. My shout-out to my new favorite movie, “Inception”.
Special thanks to The Library at Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
Nadya and Prexy SDE
Jun 27th
This is in a way, a ‘secret’ wedding. They wanted it just simple and intimate. With only a handful of close relatives and friends.
Nadya is the daughter of the mayor of Cagayan de Oro, and is also a city councilor just like Prexy. I can just imagine them at a session saying, “I respectfully disagree with you, but please don’t let me sleep on the couch tonight.”
Here’s their intimate SDE.

Anne and Juaqui SDE: Tagaytay
May 11th
THE VIEW. That’s what greeted us when we arrived 6am in Tagaytay. Having been on a number of road trips before, the sight of seeing Taal Volcano and the lake that surrounds it simply can’t be put into words.
Anne is a doctor while Juaqui, a teacher (and owns that school). Their vows pretty much summed up their relationship. Choosing each other. As she said on the end part of their SDE video, “I Choose… Us.” Which coincidentally is also the title of the song we used. Epic.

Karla and Dennis Prenup AVP: QC
Jan 27th
We tagged along on the photo prenup of Karla and Dennis with Atty. Raymond Fortun, who is so comfortable to work with.
The couple wanted it simple and straightforward. No acting, no props.
No problem.
Here’s the video from the shoot at Eco-Park, Quezon City.
Karen and Roel SDE: Bukidnon
Jan 12th
Love knows no boundaries. Apparently it doesn’t care about distance either, as is the case in Karen and Roel’s wedding.
Roel finished his studies in Cagayan de Oro, then worked in Cebu, where he met Karen. But they decided to work outside the country, Karen in the U.S. and Roel in Dubai. Their prenup shoot was in Karen’s hometown of Bohol. The wedding, in Valencia, Bukidnon.
Now I’m writing this blog here in Makati, but it’s not related to their love story.
Karen and Roel Prenup AVP: Bohol
Jan 7th
Although not my first time to visit Bohol, it’s our first time to shoot in this island of many tourist attractions. Rich in history and wonderfully preserved white sandy beaches, this is probably one of the best place to shoot a prenup video!
Here’s Karen and Roel’s prenup avp.
Sheka and Toti SDE: Surigao
Dec 31st
As 2009 comes to a close, we would like to thank all the people who made this year a very memorable one. To our clients, fellow suppliers and all the people who helped and inspired us, thank you.
And for our last coverage for this year, here’s Sheka and Toti’s SDE in Surigao City. A couple based in Manila, but are both from Surigao. Also had fun shooting with Cebu-based photographer Rolando Pascua.
Happy New Year!

Relieved, Grateful, Excited.
It was the order of feelings I had after their wedding.
Relieved because it was a week full of anxiety and trials. Had to use a cam I just bought 3 days before the wedding. Had to crash-learn shooting in it, edit the footage, all this while editing their equally challenging prenup avp in a software I just started using. Not to mention the hassles of figuring out commands in a totally different operating system. (sorry for getting a little technical on the terms)
Anyway, grateful also because I’ve been blessed with the support of many people that made the challenging day (2 weddings, 2 SDEs) a success. Not only that but I think the guy above made some moves and it seemed everything fell into place when I needed it the most.
Excited, because this was a memorable wedding. I know I say it all the time but this time, it’s gotta have a little more weight as this was a wedding which included an underwater prenup scene, Sitti as the wedding singer, Rajo Laurel as the designer, and of course as you’ll see in the video after reading this, something different and something to be excited about.
By the way, the song used is by fellow Kagay-anons, Kristine and Fayeed Tan with their cover of one of my favorite songs, “Use Somebody”.

This is the most unique wedding we have ever covered. Yes, really.
How often can a videographer cover a couple in their 50s and 60s, on one of the biggest wedding of the year in the city, and get emotional on how touching the event was, all at the same time?
Attended by guests who were past and current clients, this wedding is simply one of our most memorable.
Ma’am Helen, during their vows, said it best:
and though we are already in the autumn of our lives,
it is still best to walk with a hand to hold as leaves fall
until our winter sets in.
Sigh. (insert your tears here)
