An 8-hour road trip is not easy. It’s no fun (and dangerous) also if you’ll be greeted by heavy rain while at it. But us being on the road most of the time, it was just another working day for us.

And so I thought.

First, we were surprised by how awe-inspiring the church is.

Second, because of the heavy rain the day before the wedding, we were expecting a gloomy weather. But it turned out to be the perfect day to get married.

Lastly, we got a lot of inspiration from all of what happened during our stay in Dipolog. From the reserved, but madly in love couple. To their very game and accommodating relatives, guests, and co-suppliers. It was definitely, not an ordinary day for us too.

When you feel that something is right when you’re with someone. And there are less and less lonely nights and secrets to hide. The decision to marry this ‘someone’ is a no-brainer. Your love with this person is ‘keeping you alive’.

Julie and Jun SDE

Julie is a friend of my sister-in-law and I know Jun from where he once worked. Would have wanted to shoot this wedding but unfortunately, I was booked to shoot a Davao wedding on the same day. (mg-book kasi ng maaga! joke. )

Good thing our 2nd team was up to the task in giving them this very nice SDE. Cheers!

Karen and Roel SDE: Bukidnon

Love knows no boundaries. Apparently it doesn’t care about distance either, as is the case in Karen and Roel’s wedding.

Roel finished his studies in Cagayan de Oro, then worked in Cebu, where he met Karen. But they decided to work outside the country, Karen in the U.S. and Roel in Dubai. Their prenup shoot was in Karen’s hometown of Bohol. The wedding, in Valencia, Bukidnon.

Now I’m writing this blog here in Makati, but it’s not related to their love story.

Although not my first time to visit Bohol, it’s our first time to shoot in this island of many tourist attractions. Rich in history and wonderfully preserved white sandy beaches, this is probably one of the best place to shoot a prenup video!

Garden weddings are always a challenge because you never know if the weather will cooperate or not. This time, the weather was as perfect as it can be. And the ceremony? Well, it was, picture “video”-perfect.

The couple, Mimi and Karl really have great friends and family, as this was one terrific wedding to cover. Thanks for getting us.

Thanks also to Jiva Jimenez, for lending me his wide-angle lens. Our D90 is already in-love with it.
