Nadya and Prexy SDE
Jun 27th
This is in a way, a ‘secret’ wedding. They wanted it just simple and intimate. With only a handful of close relatives and friends.
Nadya is the daughter of the mayor of Cagayan de Oro, and is also a city councilor just like Prexy. I can just imagine them at a session saying, “I respectfully disagree with you, but please don’t let me sleep on the couch tonight.”
Here’s their intimate SDE.

A masquerade wedding that is anything but ordinary. A Paramore song for the bridal entrance? Totally cool.
Here’s their SDE. An rnb/rap track requested by the bride.
Noirene and Jesse James SDE

What’s good about early wedding ceremonies? The sunrise, the overall active mood during the preps, and the free time after. It’s extra nice especially when you’re on a different city (in our case, we watched the new Kick-Ass movie in their local mall).
Noirene and Jesse James are both architects based in Singapore. Now they’ll be designing their own family together.

Ambient sound is the natural sound in the area where one is shooting a video. It is often overlooked by us videographers because we try to make more of an “MTV”-style edit.
So I tried to include as much of these in their SDE to give it a more genuine feel.
Enjoy this heartfelt wedding same-day edit.
Thank you Erika and Chester for trusting us.

Julie is a friend of my sister-in-law and I know Jun from where he once worked. Would have wanted to shoot this wedding but unfortunately, I was booked to shoot a Davao wedding on the same day. (mg-book kasi ng maaga! joke.
)
Good thing our 2nd team was up to the task in giving them this very nice SDE. Cheers!

“If I were old, my dearest, you would be older
But I would crawl upon your lap
Wrap a blanket ‘round our frail little shoulders
And I’d die happily like that.”
A Fine Frenzy
I think everybody would want this to happen. Grow old happily with someone until the end. A nice song for a very nice couple.
Cheers!

This was memorable for a lot of reasons, most especially because it’s the wedding of my cousin Karla.
With my uncles, aunties, and cousins attending the wedding, it never felt like we were working.
We’ve been to many churches throughout the Philippines and Santuario de San Jose was one of the nicest place to shoot a wedding.
Our dinner/night-out with my cousins and uncle the day after the wedding was sick!
Had to sleep the whole day after but it was worth it!
Here’s Karla and Dennis’ Same-Day Edit.

Only and Alvin SDE
Dec 19th
How can you concentrate editing an SDE when every 5 minutes a celebrity walks pass you? This was the case in Only and Alvin’s wedding. About a dozen or so celebrities stayed in the same hotel as the wedding preparations. Too bad they were mostly male celebrities like Joko Diaz, Ian Veneracion, Jordan Herrera, and Philip Salvador. I think Keana Reeves was there too, and some very sexy stars that unfortunately, I don’t recognize.
Enough about that. Only is this happy bride that is just so easy to shoot with. Alvin is the accommodating groom, cool and calm.
At about the 1:32 part of the video, you’ll see probably the best reaction of the bride to the groom crying during her walk down the aisle.
Hope you’ll enjoy watching their not-so-serious SDE.

Relieved, Grateful, Excited.
It was the order of feelings I had after their wedding.
Relieved because it was a week full of anxiety and trials. Had to use a cam I just bought 3 days before the wedding. Had to crash-learn shooting in it, edit the footage, all this while editing their equally challenging prenup avp in a software I just started using. Not to mention the hassles of figuring out commands in a totally different operating system. (sorry for getting a little technical on the terms)
Anyway, grateful also because I’ve been blessed with the support of many people that made the challenging day (2 weddings, 2 SDEs) a success. Not only that but I think the guy above made some moves and it seemed everything fell into place when I needed it the most.
Excited, because this was a memorable wedding. I know I say it all the time but this time, it’s gotta have a little more weight as this was a wedding which included an underwater prenup scene, Sitti as the wedding singer, Rajo Laurel as the designer, and of course as you’ll see in the video after reading this, something different and something to be excited about.
By the way, the song used is by fellow Kagay-anons, Kristine and Fayeed Tan with their cover of one of my favorite songs, “Use Somebody”.

We had a wonderful time shooting their prenup in Zamboanga City. Shooting their wedding was a blast too!
Love, during our meeting 3 days before the big day said her father has one request. He wants to see the ring shots rolling/moving.
He saw we did it in a video awhile back and he wants to see them in his daughter’s SDE.
Request granted.
